'vool' is estonian and means flow.
vool was a very intimate project for me and i tried to let my feelings flow into the project but still find an overall style and setup.

The reason I chose the name Flow or vool is because I was inspired by the teachings of a pre-Socratic philosopher named Heraclitus. His famous teaching "Panta Rhei" is about everything being in flow. He claims that every experience, encounter, conversation, emotion, thought, etc. is unique. There is no such thing as repetition or a daily routine. Every day we wake up as new people with the experience of the previous day. As a metaphor he uses the river. For example, if you go into the same river twice, you might think you had the same experience as the first time. However, Heraclitus claims the water that touched you the first time has long since flowed down the river and new water has now touched you. It is not the same experience and not the same river.

However I don't want to go too much into the interpretation of my work, as I strongly believe that an artist doesn't explain his work, as every interpretation of the viewer is just as right as the intention of the artist. An explanation on my part would destroy the connection of some viewers.

Every animation was created with Cinema 4D, Houdini and rendered with Redshift. Post production like color grading etc. was done in After Effects.
